Jose will share his experience and insights being a Mechanical Engineer in the Aeronautics industry.

Jose is a Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., supporting the design and development of several air vehicle projects within Skunk Works® and other company lines of business. His primary field is Air-Breathing Propulsion Engineering to include Engine Performance Analysis, Technology Development, Propulsion System Selection and Integration. His 12-year career as a Propulsion Engineer includes work on various types of manned and unmanned aircraft and propulsion systems within Lockheed Martin Co., Gulfstream Aerospace Corp., General Electric, Naval Air Systems Command, and General Atomics.

Prior to his career in engineering, Jose was an aircraft technician and holds an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification. Jose also served as an enlisted member of the U.S. Navy for 9 years and holds a B.S. and M.S. degrees in Aeronautical Science and Aerospace Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Jose is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at The University of Texas at San Antonio with dissertation work planned in the field of Shock-Wave Boundary Layer Interaction in Hypersonic Flow.
